SPECIAL TOURS!!!
SORRY- NO SPECIAL TOURS THIS YEAR
Does your school group, wedding party, or club want a special tour?
Then book a THEME TOUR with the FRIENDS OF DAHLONEGA GOLD MUSEUM!
Current themes include:
SPOOKTACULAR TOUR- This tour is designed for those who just want spooky tales. We leave out most of the history and just tell tales of Murder, Ghosts, Spirits, and Legends. The tales are from the county & town.
HISTORY TOUR- This tour is for the history lovers. We focus only on the historical aspects of the town and area. See the region through the eyes of all those who came before us. From the area's use by the Cherokee to the 1970's we bring history to life!
NATURAL HISTORY TOUR- Join us for a tour that focuses on the natural resources of the region. The tour takes a slightly different route through the town. Hear about the plants, animals, and waters of the region. We will tell you all about the way nature has changed here in the Georgia Mountains from the time of the Cherokee to today. Included on the tour is the ID of many of the trees and plants found right in and around the Historic Square.
COLORFUL CHARACTERS- Let us spin tales about the colorful people who lived here from 1828 to the 1970's. Gamblers, miners, farmers, and outlaws all lived here (and some times died here) in Lumpkin County.
